Comparison
The Jotform alternative for forms that go more than one place
Jotform prices by how many forms and how much storage you use, on top of submissions. WebForms is unlimited forms at every tier, priced only by submission volume.
Jotform is a genuinely large product - 20,000+ templates, 150+ integrations, drag-and-drop building, e-signatures, and its own payment collection. It is a form builder first, and a very complete one. Its pricing reflects that scope: plans meter forms, monthly submissions, storage, monthly form views and even monthly signed documents together, so a low-submission but high-storage or high-view use case can hit a ceiling that a submission-only comparison would miss.
Once a submission lands, Jotform's own notification options are straightforward email alerts and a fixed set of integrations; conditional routing to different destinations based on field values, and a per-attempt delivery log, are not part of the product.
WebForms does not build the form - Jotform's editor is a different, larger product than anything we offer. What we do is take a submission, wherever it came from, and store it, fan it out to five destination types at once, route it conditionally, and log every delivery attempt.
When to stay with Jotform
Switching has a real cost. These are the cases where we would not bother.
- You want to build the form itself with drag-and-drop, not write HTML. Jotform's editor is a mature, complete product we do not compete with.
- You need e-signatures, PDF generation from submissions, or built-in payment collection baked into the form builder itself.
- You want HIPAA-enabled features, which Jotform offers from its Gold tier and Enterprise plan.
WebForms vs Jotform

| Capability | WebForms | Jotform |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A backend endpoint. You build and host the form yourself. | A hosted, drag-and-drop form builder with a huge template library. |
| Forms included | Unlimited forms on every plan, including free. | 5 to 100 forms by plan on paid tiers; Enterprise is unlimited. |
| Setup | Point form action at your endpoint. Works with plain HTML. | Build in their editor, then embed or share the hosted link. |
| Submission storage | Stored, searchable, exportable as CSV or JSON. | Stored with a total-storage cap that scales by plan. |
| Fan-out per submission | Email, Slack, Discord, Telegram and webhooks from one submission. | Email notifications plus 150+ integrations, configured per form. |

Moving from Jotform
Decide what you actually need
If you rely on Jotform's builder, e-signatures or payment forms, keep Jotform and route its webhook integration into WebForms for extra destinations and routing. If you are replacing it, build a plain HTML form.
Export your submissions
Download your submission history from Jotform before changing anything.
Point your form (or Jotform's webhook) at your endpoint
A plain HTML form's action attribute, or Jotform's own webhook integration, both work as a source for WebForms.
Add destinations and routing
Configure email, Slack, Discord, Telegram or a webhook, and add routing rules if different answers should go to different places.
Try it without deciding anything
The free plan includes 300 submissions a month, unlimited forms, email delivery, stored submissions and spam filtering, with no card required and no expiry. Point one form at it and keep Jotform running on the others until you are convinced.
Questions
Not for the builder. Jotform's drag-and-drop editor, templates and e-signature tools are a different, larger product than anything we offer. WebForms replaces the backend: storage, notifications, routing and a delivery log.
Yes. Point Jotform's webhook integration at a WebForms endpoint to add Discord, Telegram, conditional routing and a delivery log on top of Jotform's own building tools.
Jotform's per-form pricing model means forms, storage and submissions all count against the same plan. WebForms is unlimited forms at every tier, with routing and a delivery log Jotform's dashboard does not show.
No. We are a backend only; form building, e-signatures and payment UI are outside our scope.
