Webflow form submissions in a Slack channel
Set the Form Block's action to your endpoint, add a Slack destination with an incoming webhook, and every submission posts to the channel. Webflow's own form handling, and its submission cap, stop applying the moment the action changes. Slack delivery is on Pro and Agency.
Setting it up
01Repoint the Form Block
Select the Form Block itself, not the fields inside it, open its settings, set Action to your endpoint and Method to POST. That replaces Webflow's built-in handling for this form.
02Rename Webflow's default field names
Webflow names inputs like Contact-1-Name. Those names become the labels in the Slack message, so rename them to name, email and message in each field's settings before you publish, or the channel fills up with Contact-1-Email.
03Create the Slack webhook and add it
In Slack, add Incoming Webhooks to the workspace, pick the channel and copy the URL. Paste it into a Slack destination on the form in the dashboard, then use the test send to see the message before real traffic arrives.
04Send visitors to a thank-you page
Add a hidden field named _redirect with the full URL of a thank-you page you designed in Webflow.
Embed inside the Form Block<input type="hidden" name="_redirect" value="https://yoursite.com/thanks">
What is different about Webflow and Slack
Webflow's success message stops showing
Webflow's built-in success state only fires for its own handler. With a custom action the browser follows the redirect instead, so without a _redirect field visitors land on a plain confirmation page. Design a thank-you page and point the field at it.
It keeps working after an export
Webflow's native forms only run on Webflow hosting. A custom action is a plain URL, so an exported site posts to Slack exactly as before, which is a good reason to switch before you export rather than after.
A launch burst will not flood Slack into errors
Slack rate-limits incoming webhooks. Deliveries are queued and retried with backoff, so fifty submissions in a minute arrive as fifty messages rather than a pile of failures.
