KwesForms or Formspree: help building the form, or help after it is sent
KwesForms helps you build the form: datepickers, multistep flows, repeater fields, conditional show and hide, and validation defined once for both browser and server. Formspree helps after the form is sent: stored submissions, CRM and helpdesk plugins, payments and form rules.
The difference that decides it
These overlap less than their category suggests. KwesForms ships a JavaScript library, and most of its value is on the page: complex inputs, multi-page forms and validation rules enforced identically on the frontend and backend. It lists HIPAA compliance on its higher tiers, which matters for health-related forms.
Formspree assumes you have written the form and focuses on the submission's journey. It stores and searches submissions, delivers them through a large catalogue of plugins including native CRM and helpdesk integrations, takes payments via Stripe, and supports form rules.
Side by side
| Capability | KwesForms | Formspree |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Their JavaScript library plus a form action | Point your form at an endpoint |

"Not a documented feature" means it is not in their published documentation as we read it, not that it can never be done. Check with them before ruling something out.
Which to choose
Choose KwesForms if
Choose KwesForms when the form itself is complex, multistep, conditional or full of specialised inputs, or when you need HIPAA compliance.
Choose Formspree if
Choose Formspree when the form is simple but where it goes is not: a CRM, a helpdesk, a payment.

A third option, honestly assessed
If your form is plain HTML and you do not need Formspree's CRM plugins, neither of these is aimed squarely at you. WebForms takes any HTML form as it is and handles storage and spam filtering on every plan, with routing and delivery to several destinations on paid plans. It has no form-building library, so if you need KwesForms' multistep tooling, use KwesForms.
