Formspark or Formspree: buy submissions once, or pay every month

For low or unpredictable traffic, Formspark's model is hard to argue with: a prepaid bundle of submissions that never expires, so a quiet year costs nothing extra. Formspree costs more per submission but brings an ecosystem Formspark does not have: CRM plugins, payments and form rules.

The difference that decides it

Formspark does not have a monthly plan. You get 250 submissions with a free account, not reset monthly, and when you need more you buy a bundle that stays on your account until it is spent. There is no subscription to remember and nothing to cancel. Team members are included on both tiers, and Notion is a direct integration.

Formspree is a conventional subscription, and its free tier is small, meant for testing. What the monthly price buys is breadth: native plugins for CRMs and helpdesks, a Stripe plugin for payments, form rules and a CLI. If your form is a lead source feeding a sales process, that breadth is the product. If it is a contact form that gets a few messages a week, you would be paying for machinery you never touch.

A third option, honestly assessed

If what draws you to Formspark is the price and what draws you to Formspree is routing, there is a middle option. WebForms has a monthly free plan of 300 submissions by email, and its paid plans add routing rules and delivery to several destinations at once. It is a subscription, so if never paying monthly is the point, Formspark is still the honest recommendation.
