Basin or Getform: extras around the form, or capacity behind it

Basin surrounds the form with extras: AI-generated microsites, capture of abandoned submissions, and phone and email validation. Getform, renamed Forminit in January 2026, puts its weight behind the form instead: higher monthly volume, more file storage and API access.

Getform renamed to Forminit in January 2026.

The difference that decides it

Both take the endpoint approach and store submissions with export. The difference is where each spends its product effort. Basin's paid tiers bundle AI-generated sites with hosting and custom domains, its Agency plan keeps data from forms visitors abandon, and it flags fake phone numbers and email addresses in real time.

Forminit's top self-serve tier handles 50,000 submissions a month, it includes file storage from its free plan up, and it has an API for pulling submissions into your own systems. It has been running since 2015. If the form is high traffic or collects documents, that capacity matters more than a microsite.

A third option, honestly assessed

Neither documents conditional routing or a per-destination delivery log, which is where WebForms is different: on its paid plans one form can send each submission to a different destination based on what was entered, and every delivery attempt is visible. If a microsite or 50,000 submissions a month is what you need, pick the one of these that offers it.
